Known issues
Here is a list of known issues that you may encounter when using R.U.B.E.
- While scaling bodies or fixtures restricted to the x/y axis, the preview shown for circle shapes
will be squashed/stretched in the direction of scaling, but after completing the
action (ie. after clicking mouse button to confirm the change) the resulting circle shapes will
not be squashed/stretched as in the preview. This is because Box2D does not support elliptical
shapes.
- Sometimes the 'Running script...' dialog does not appear as it should when undoing long scripts.
- Running scripts containing infinite loops will hang the program.
- Pasting large scripts into the script panel can be very slow when syntax highlighting is enabled.
- (MacOS) Screenshot capability in the feedback dialog is not available on OSX Lion or later.
- Switching the bodies of a motor joint will mess up the anchor and reference angle values.
- (Windows) On Windows the command line interface will not print any output to the console. Instead, the output will be written to the rube.log file. See the Command line interface topic for some tips on how you can view the log output.
If you find other problems you can use the 'Send feedback' dialog (under the Help menu) to make a direct report. The 'Send feedback' dialog allows you to take a screenshot to help describe the problem.
