Snapping objects together?

Post by amast »

Does RUBE allow snapping fixtures together using their closest vertices?

Thanks,

When you say "snapping fixtures", do you mean:
- one of the bodies that the fixtures are attached to should move
- both bodies that the fixtures are attached to should move
- one of the fixtures should move (body stays unchanged)
- both fixtures should move (bodies stay unchanged)
- some combination of the above, eg. one fixture moves, and the body of the other fixture moves

Additionally when you say "closest vertices", do you mean:
- the pair of two vertices (one from each fixture) which are nearest in a certain axis
- the pair of two vertices (one from each fixture) which are nearest neighbors among all possible pairs

Short answer is no, but if you clarify what you want I can make a script that will do it for you. It would be great if you could show an example, because this is probably a bit more complex than you are thinking.
