How to trace an image?

Post by Skywalker »

Hi,
first of all RUBE is an awesome tool, great job Chris !

My question is - is there an option to trace an image? (like other tools have an auto-trace option)
For example if I have an image of a truck, how would I go about creating a body which is exact fit for the truck image?

Working on that now actually. I'm trying for something a bit more ambitious than just alpha border finding within a single image (although admittedly that is fine for most cases). It will be able to find edges in compositions of multiple images, and hopefully the edge finding will also be able to track along interior color boundaries as well. Should be out in the next couple of months.
